HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO CLEAN MY SHISHA?

We recommend that Shisha maintenance should be performed after every use. This involves the shaft, vase, and clay bowl. It is recommended that you NEVER clean any part of your hookah with soap, as you will be able to taste the soap when smoking the Shisha. We, therefore, recommend that you use warm water when cleaning your Shisha.

WHAT ARE THE AGE REQUIREMENTS WHEN BUYING A SHISHA?

Shishaadvisors.com follows all local and international laws associated with the sale of tobacco products. Therefore, you must be at least 18 years of age or older to be eligible to purchase any hookahs, flavored tobacco, or other accessories listed on our website.

DOES THE SIZE OF THE SHISHA EFFECT THE QUALITY OF YOUR SMOKING EXPERIENCE?

The ideal Shisha typically ranges anywhere between 26 inches and 35 inches. Shishas that are below 26 inches still provide a decent smoking experience, but the smoking quality may be diminished.

MY SHISHA DOESN'T SEEM TO BE SMOKING RIGHT. WHAT DO I DO?

  • Check your bowl. The most common mistake is packing the shisha too tightly. Make sure that you break the shisha apart and lightly sprinkle it into the bowl to the top. Don’t fill it past the top because you’ll be packing the shisha when you cover it with a metal screen or foil.
  • Check your charcoal. If the charcoal is covered with ash, there may not be enough heat getting to the shisha. Use your tongs to tap the charcoal ash off into your hookah tray and place the red charcoal back on your head.
  • Check your gaskets. Make sure that all of the components of the Shisha are fitting nicely together. You may check for a burnt gasket. Some Shisha expose the gasket and are easily burnt by charcoal that is moved around in the tray.
  • Check your hoses. If you have multiple hoses, make sure that all ends are plugged properly. For example, if you have two or three hoses on your Shisha and there is only one person smoking, you’ll need to remove the hoses and use rubber stoppers or tape to block the hose holes.

HOW LONG IS THE FLAVORED TOBACCO THAT I PURCHASED GOING TO LAST?

We recommend that you store the flavored tobacco in an air tight container (i.e. Zip lock bag, Tupperware container, or glass jar) at room temperature when not being used. If you follow these procedures, the flavored tobacco is estimated to last up to one year.
